Our products have taken on the season of spring with our new flower inlays. While the concept of resin inlays may seem straightforward, mastering the technique requires attention to detail and precision. The trade trick is to wait until the first layer of resin is semi-set, the inlays are then placed in the mould. The tackiness of the resin keeps them in place for the final pour and you can avoid the inlays moving around. This final oiling steps enhance the clarity and depth of the resin inlay, showcasing its beauty.
Its also worth to note that the resin needs to be pigmented cautiously to ensure the inlays are still visible.
By experimenting with different pouring techniques, such as layering, swirling, or embedding objects within the resin, you can create intricate patterns and tactile surfaces that beg to be touched and admired. We’ve started out with inlaying flowers, but the possibilities are truly endless.
